PALACE ON WHEELS COLLECTION
Day 1 Wednesday :: Transfer to Delhi station to join the Palace on Wheels for an enchanting royal journey through the bygone eras of the Maharajas of Rajasthan. Sleep in the history of the land, soak in the colors and experience the royal life of a Maharaja.

Day 2 Thursday :: Our first stop is the pink city of Jaipur, surrounded by a fortified wall with eight gates. Sightseeing includes the Palace of Winds and the Amber Fort, which we visit on the backs of elephants. Lunch at a Palace Hotel. In the evening, we enjoy dinner and a show at Nahargarh Citadel, a former royal fort. During the night the train gently travels to Jaisalmer.
Day 3 Friday :: After breakfast we set off to see Jaisalmer, a fairytale walled town in the Thar Desert where a camel ride into the surrounding desert is included. The town centre is a maze of narrow streets and the merchants' houses boast the finest carved filigree facades. Dinner is taken at the Moomal Tourist Bungalow before the train departs for Jodhpur.
Day 4 Saturday :: Our morning is spent touring the town and seeing the high walls of the massive Mehrangarh Fort and Palace with its fine sandstone carvings. Lunch is taken in the beautiful Bhawan Palace Hotel, originally the Royal Palace of the Maharajas of Jodhpur. We also see Jaswant Thada Fort, a white marble memorial, before the train leaves for Sawai Madhopur, with dinner served on board.
Day 5 Sunday :: After breakfast a visit is arranged to the Ranthambore National Park, wherein are located the ruins of a 10th century fort. This wildlife sanctuary is considered to be the country's best for observing and photographing the activities of the tiger. After the game drive we rejoin the train and take lunch on board as we head to Chittorgarh to view the fort, Victory Tower and Tower of Fame. Dinner is served on the train as it travels to Udaipur.
Day 6 Monday :: After breakfast we take to the water for a boat trip to the Lake Palace Hotel, originally the Palace of the Maharani of Udaipur, where we see the Hall of Mirrors, Roof Garden Pond and Peacock Court. Lunch is at the Hotel and there is free time to see more of Udaipur before rejoining the train.
Day 7 Tuesday :: Today we start with a visit to Bharatpur, the capital of Maharaja Suraj Mal. After breakfast we visit the world famous bird sanctuary, Keoladeo Ghana National Park, the nesting place of thousands of Egrets, Siberian Cranes, migratory Water Fowl and other species of birds.
We continue our royal journey to the Taj Mahal visiting Fatehpur Sikri, a town built in the 16th century, enroute. In Agra we visit the Red Fort & after lunch view the magnificent Taj Mahal, a mausoleum in white marble built by emperor Shah Jahan in honor of his beloved queen, Mumtaz Mahal, who died in the year 1630. We take tea at the Taj restaurant and after free time, rejoin the train for a farewell dinner.
Day 8 Wednesday :: The Palace on Wheels arrives Delhi in the morning and after breakfast, we depart this royal journey. End of services.
